First there was Aang, then there was Korra, now a third avatar is coming to Nickelodeon in a new show called “Avatar: Seven Havens.” Here’s what we know about the series so far!
The 2D-animated series will follow a young Earthbender named Pavi who discovers she’s the new Avatar after Korra, who was the lead of the last show.
However, the creators say “Seven Havens” is set in a world shattered by a devastating cataclysm, where the title of Avatar marks Pavi as humanity’s destroyer, not its savior.
While being hunted by both human and spirit enemies, Pavi and her long-lost twin will have to uncover their mysterious origins and save the Seven Havens before the civilization’s last strongholds collapse.
The series is being created by the same guys who made the previous two shows and they unveiled the first artwork for “Seven Havens” at San Diego Comic-Con in July.
The creators say, “This new incarnation of the Avatarverse is full of fantasy, mystery, and a whole new cast of amazing characters.”
They say Pavi will be joined by a friend and mentor named Jae, who is an Airbender, and a new animal, a cat monkey named Geet.
Like the previous shows, “Seven Havens” will be broken down into books. Both Book 1 and Book 2 will have 13 half-hour episodes, so 26 episodes all together.
The creators say the influences for the show are multiple 90s anime series and the artist Moebius.
No release date has been announced, but it’s reportedly slated for 2027.
Meanwhile, there’s another Avatar project to look forward to before then. A movie called “The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender” is set to be released on Oct. 9, 2026, and it will continue the story of the original Avatar and his crew.
