Here’s everything we know so far about the new Beatles biopics! Yeah, that’s plural.
Four different feature films are being made to tell the tale of the most celebrated band in history.
The movies will each be from a different band member’s point-of-view and they’ll intersect to tell a single story.
The logline for this ambitious project is, “Each man has his own story, but together they are legendary.”
The cast was officially announced at the end of March, with Harris Dickinson playing John Lennon, Paul Mescal portraying Paul McCartney, Barry Keoghan depicting Ringo Starr, and Joseph Quinn starring as George Harrison.

The project marks the first time Apple Corps Ltd. and The Beatles – McCartney, Starr, and the families of Lennon and Harrison – have granted full life story and music rights for a scripted film.
Sam Mendes is directing the movies. He’s an Academy Award-winning director who’s known for films like, “American Beauty,” “Revolutionary Road,” and “1917.”
Mendes has said it will take more than a year to make all four movies.
The films are all set to be released in theaters in April 2028. It’s unclear what order they’ll be released in, but Sony says the “dating cadence” of the movies will be “innovative and groundbreaking.”
The director says he’s “excited to challenge the notion of what constitutes a trip to the movies,” and he called it the first “bingeable moment in cinema,” Deadline reports.
