I’m really tired of gay shows getting canceled because they don’t get enough support from our community. That’s why we all need to be watching the new comedy “Mid-Century Modern” on Hulu!
It’s a sitcom that follows three gay best friends who decide to spend their golden years living together after an unexpected death.
It’s basically “The Golden Girls” but instead of older women in Miami, it’s older gay men in Palm Springs. The writing is also similar to “Will & Grace,” which makes sense because it’s created by the same producers.
This new show stars Nathan Lane, Matt Bomer, and Nathan Lee Graham, with several cameos from other fabulous actors.

You don’t have to be queer to like this show, but if you are, I think you’ll like it even more. There are tons of references that a lot of gay people will pick up on.
Not only is the show really funny, but it also has a lot of heart. There’s an especially touching storyline towards the end of the season that I won’t spoil, but it’s worth watching.
I will say, the one thing I didn’t like about this show was the laugh track, but I guess that comes with the territory of a sitcom, and you eventually get used to it.
With all that said, I hope you help me spread the word about this show so it can be renewed, and we can continue the representation!
The first season only has 10 episodes and they’re all less than half an hour long, so you can burn through it really quickly.
